The rosé wine is the biblical wine, even though this affirmation surprises us a little. It is the first type of wine that man learned to make when he squeezed a bunch of grapes between his hands. It was surely the wine of the Phoenicians and Egyptians, as can be deduced observing the grape harvest scenes that adorned the low relief’s of some monuments erected in those faraway times. The paintings on the Egyptian´s priest Menotheph gravestone represent in the same frescoes the harvest, the smashing of the grape, the pressing and the aging of the wine.
